HISTORY OF HARBOR AREA CHAPTER
On November 6, 1966, The Links, Incorporated, chartered the Harbor Area (CA) Chapter. Link Rose Terry Brown and Link Beryl O’Kelly Brooks were the organizers of the women in the Long Beach-Carson-Compton Area who began the chapter history. Both organizers were formerly members of the Angel City Chapter. Link Brown held membership in the Birmingham Chapter prior to her membership in the Angel City Chapter.
The chartering officer on November 6, 1966, was Link Josephine Smith. The twelve names imprinted on the charter are:

Growth and Division
In June 1982, a unique experience in Linkdom occurred. Previous to this date, discussions within the Harbor Area (CA) Chapter led to negotiations that resulted in the chartering of the Palos Verdes Chapter. The list below contains the names of members who transferred from Harbor Area Chapter to become charter members of the Palos Verdes Chapter.
